Goddammit, Blizzard. Why would you make a story quest with a semi-mandatory reward in a relative fresh expansion that needs everyone to kill 6 elite mobs in a zone that is sparsely populated with elites... and people can't tag along without being grouped... and then if you relog your progress is gone? Very exciting gameplay because of course everyone will do it on their main on day one of the patch if it's a time-gated step that just unlocked.

OK, the experiment has concluded, I'm gonna stick with this self-hosted instance for now.
Funny how of my 43 followed people on the other account 12 were on the dead mmorpg.social and 12 were on the dead nineties.cafe instances.
OK, this is a little experiment.
While I did switch over from Twitter to the Fediverse on my "main" non-gaming account, I kinda ignored the gaming account for a month or two.
Today I noticed ( tabletop.social/@Nogamara/109699505660089941 ) that tabletop.social has blocked a few large instances and that got in the way of following a few people and while decentralization is good, mastodon dot social is kind of a big deal, like it or not.
So on a whim I set up GoToSocial on the blog server and trying this out now. We'll see how it works out, starting slowly and then maybe migrating fully and refollowing everyone.
